Uni the Urchin · Privacy
Privacy in clear water.
Uni is designed to work without a Conjectural Industries account. This policy explains what stays on your device and what is handled by platform services when you use online features.
Effective September 12, 2026 · Conjectural Industries LLC
You can play without giving Conjectural Industries your name, email address, or other account details.
Preferences, progress, cached challenge details, and unsubmitted scores are stored on your device.
Information
What Uni handles.
The game uses only the information needed to remember your choices and provide its optional online features.
Information stored on your device
Uni stores game settings and progress locally, including sound preferences, selected character color, best times or scores, the locally cached status of the Supporter Pack, pending leaderboard scores, and a cached Daily Challenge configuration. This information is not used for advertising or analytics.
Daily Challenge delivery
Uni downloads a small public configuration file from Microsoft Azure so that players receive the current Daily Challenge. The request does not include your name, email address, game score, or a Conjectural account identifier. As with ordinary internet traffic, Microsoft Azure may process technical request information such as an IP address and HTTP request details to deliver and secure the service.
Leaderboards
If you choose to use a leaderboard, Uni uses Apple Game Center or Google Play Games, depending on your platform. The platform may process your player identity, display name, leaderboard scores, and related game-service information under its own privacy policy. Uni submits a score only through the platform service and does not operate a separate player-profile or leaderboard database.
Purchases
Optional purchases and restorations are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play through Unity’s in-app purchasing software. Conjectural Industries does not receive or store your payment-card or bank information. The game receives purchase status needed to provide the purchased features and keeps a local entitlement cache on your device.
Support messages
If you email us for support, we receive the email address, name, message, attachments, and device or app details you choose to send. We use this information only to respond, investigate the issue, protect our services, and meet legal obligations. Please do not send passwords, payment information, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Services
Who may process data.
Platform providers handle purchases, optional leaderboards, and delivery of the Daily Challenge.
Third-party services
Depending on your device and the features you use, these providers may process information under their own terms:
- Apple — App Store purchases and Game Center.
- Google — Google Play purchases and Play Games services on Android.
- Microsoft — Azure hosting for Daily Challenge files and this website.
- Unity Technologies — the game engine and in-app purchasing software. Unity Analytics, Unity Ads, and Unity Crash Reporting are not enabled in Uni.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Uni does not enable Unity Analytics, Unity Ads, or Unity Crash Reporting. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, build advertising profiles, or track activity across other companies’ apps and websites.
Data sharing and sale
Conjectural Industries does not sell personal information. Information is disclosed only to service providers as described above, when you direct the game to use a platform feature, or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or prevent abuse.
Control
Your choices.
You control optional platform features and can remove locally stored game information.
Retention and deletion
Local game information remains on your device until it is overwritten, reset, or removed when you uninstall the game, subject to your device’s backup behavior. Apple and Google control retention and deletion for purchase records, player profiles, and submitted leaderboard scores. Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer your request, maintain business records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
Managing online features
You can play without posting leaderboard scores. You can manage Game Center or Google Play Games through your platform account settings. Purchase history and platform account requests should be managed through Apple or Google. To request access to or deletion of information you sent directly to Conjectural Industries in a support message, contact us using the address below.
Children’s privacy
Uni is a general-audience game and does not knowingly request or collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child sent personal information directly to Conjectural Industries, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
Security and changes
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the limited information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We may update this policy when Uni’s features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will show the latest revision.
